Description: Amarin is an antihistamine with anticholinergic properties used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever or urticaria.
Mode of action: Act by competing with histamine for H1-receptor sites on effectors cells
Indications: Seasonal and perennial rhinitis, hay fever, conjunctivitis, pruritus of various etiology, vasomotor rhinitis, vertigo, different skin allergies like; dermatitis, eczema, urticaria, angioedema.
Dosage & Administration:
Adult: 25 to 150 mg once daily, may be given twice daily, Children aged 1-3 years: should receive half a measuring spoonful 2 or 3 times daily, Children aged 4-12 years: 1 measuring spoonful 2 or 3 times daily, a daily dose of 3 mg/kg body weight must not be exceeded.
